Approximating the Appearance of Human Skin in Computer Graphics

abstract

The simulation of realistic lighting and shading for the reproduction of human skin in computer graphics is a subject of great depth. This paper deals with a method for implementing an approximation of the appearance of human skin in a Render Man shading network, and using Pixar’s prman scan-line native renderer.
