Automated system for panoramic capture

View all projects

By David Ness

abstract

This essay is an attempt to automate, or at least semi automate the process of capturing a panoramic image. Firstly this report how and why we would want to capture such images, and then an investigation into what can be done to speed up and automate the process, using mostly standard equipment, but always cheap.

The project proposed involves the use of stepper motors to control a camera around it axes via an intuitive computer program.
