Hot on the heels of their win at AniFest 2016, Naughty Princess has won the best student animation award at the Royal Television Society Southern awards ceremony on Friday 3rd March 2017. There to receive the award on their behalf was Chris Williams and Adam Redford, who managed to take this shaky photo of the award:
The film now goes to the National Awards in London in June when we hope for more success. Congratulations to the students Klaudia Smigielska, Zeno Pelgrims and Vasil Shotarov, and staff, in particular supervisors Ingrid Morrison and Claudia Moore, on a great achievement.

Fabulous news from our colleagues Vicky Isley and Paul Smith:
“With so many exceptional entries in the Moving Image category we were genuinely surprised to hear boredomresearch announced as winner at the Lumen Prize winners gala last night in Hackney House http://lumenprize.com/newsarticle/2016-shortlist-announced
Thanks to all at BU who have supported us with this project which was recognised for its fusion of arts and science. It was a pleasure to act as a beacon highlighting bournemouth’s unique appreciation of the value of interdisciplinary practice.
A big thank you to Abigail Addison of Animate Projects, who as well as commissioning the project led the simultaneous celebrations at the opening of Silent Signal in LifeSpace, Dundee http://lifespace.dundee.ac.uk/exhibition/silent-signal where we hear AfterGlow was well received. Finally of course a huge thank you to Dr Paddy Brock at the University of Glasgow who we hope that we can invite to BU to share his experiences transcending the boundaries of epidemiology whilst working on the AfterGlow project.”
