abstract

This study is an investigation into the creation of an automatic CG rig generator, using a simplistic setup. The method chose was the simplest possible; placing coloured dots on the front and side image of a character design. The image was processed with a program written in Python, and the information passed onto MAYAs programming language, MEL. The resulting product was multi-resolution rig with many features identified from researching current rigging techniques.
