abstract

I sought to produce two unique characters based on university buildings – the library and the SUBU centre. The designs consist of the elements from their respective environments and also display how these spaces affect people. I used environmental psychology research to evaluate what impact they can have on individuals. This served as the criteria for the designs eg. The library environment makes people more irritable, therefore I need to ensure that this characteristic comes across in the design.
