The aims of this project will be to produce a website that is home to a number of Artificially Life (AL) entities, known simply as `Beasts’. Each Beasts will be based upon a Neural Network (NN), with only the goal to attract visitors to them and not their neighbours.
The Beasts will develop on two different levels:
1. The Neural Network will learn directly from users feedback. The NN will get input from many sources, ranging from attirbutes of the browser, time zone to mouse activity. As well as this there will be predefined feedback used to give the learning direction, which will let the viewer say whether they like what they see or not.
2. Each Beast will leave their pollen on the users browser in the form of a cookie. This can then be transfered to other Beasts they look at, where upon it will merge and give birth to a new Beast. This will give rise to a kind of selective breeding, between Beasts that attract viewers.
