This project was undertaken to research in modeling and animating plants in computer graphics using a graphical scripting language (Mel) and is divided into three different sections approaching all subjects.
Section 1 including the modeling fundamentals of fractal images
section 2 which covers the practical aspects of modeling and animation of plantlike structures within Maya.
Section 3 (Appendix) including some scripts written to create certain results.
Section 1 and section two, even though connected can be regarded as two different subjects of research, subjects of part one may not be necessary implemented in a practical solution but cover the basics for animating more complex models using Mel scripting.
