Substitution Animation in Computer Animation Environment

abstract

In an attempt to bring a new approach to the generation of animation in a computer graphics environment a set of tools have been developed, during this innovations project, which allow animators to utilise a substitution style animation inside the Maya animation system. What follows is an account of the process of designing and implementing this system and also a look at the potential future of substitution animation as a tool for computer graphics.
