Virtual Personalities

View all projects

By Andrew Tudor

abstract

The aim of this project is to research some of the past, present and future developments in the ‘virtual humans’ industry; with particular respect to ‘virtual personalities’.
My particular area of interest is in discovering the requirements and criteria needed in the creation and marketing of a virtual personality.

I will be using many media for research purposes, although the notion of a ‘virtual personality’ lies heavily in the digital realm, so the Internet is a primary resource of information. As such, I hope to expand my knowledge of HTML and hope to include many forms of media on this page including pictures, movies and Javascript.

When I originally started this project, it came to my attention that a fellow animator, Kitty Mayer, who is in the first year on the BA (Hons) Computer Animation course, was interested in ‘virtual humans’ as well.
