VRG - Visual Research Group
The Visual Research Group (VRG) includes staff engaged in the production, critical appraisal and curating of visual artefacts and in research more appropriately pursued and evaluated by established art and design methods. It was originally established by staff to support their art practice through critiques, exhibitions and other events and has since expanded to include supervision and support for practice related PhD research.
Members and some interests of the VRG form intersections with the Media School's Experimental Media Research Group (Emerge) and the co-lab.
Current VRG members are drawn from the NCCA and other areas of the Media School:
Stephen Bell, Paula Callus, Lucy Childs, Daniel Cox, Peter Hardie, Steve Harper, Vicky Isley, Claudia Moore, Ingrid Morrison, Evangelina Sirgado de Sousa, Susan Sloan, Paul Smith, Lizzie Sykes, Neal White, Rezah Yousefzadeh, Rehan Zia
