Abstract:
An innovative approach to computer animation is to harness the capabilities of a computer to forge forbidden border crossings. With careful compositing this project proposes to challenge computer animation dogmas by blurring the boundaries between different styles, media and art forms. A computer can be similar to a traditional painter's palette where different elements can be mixed up together by the artist, before being splashed up on screen. The fast-paced urban environment that we live in throws up a relentless flow of stimuli to absorb and many multi-media artists are responding to this by producing fusioned animations. These are works that reflect 21st century life and times by combining together many different art media.
